KickStart Program: Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the KickStart program?
A: The KickStart program is part of the overall new Onboarding experience, designed to help new Representatives get a taste for success from their first Avon order and beyond. It rewards new Representatives for both sales and recruiting success in their first 6 campaigns. It also includes a $200 performance bonus if they achieve the sales goals and bring in a minimum of three (3) Qualified KickStart Recruits (QKR) within the program timeframe.
Q: When does the program begin?
A: The program begins with all appointments on StartAvon.com/SellAvon.com on or after September 16, 2016 (approximately campaign 22, national).
Q: I have pending appointments who completed their enrollment prior to September 16th with the old $15 kit. If they submit an order on or after September 16th are they in the KickStart or are they in the 40% program?
A: They are in KickStart! Our definition of an appointment has not changed. Today a pending appointment converts to an active Representative (appointment) once the first order is placed. So any pending appointments will play in KickStart as long as their first order is placed on or after September 16th. This means KickStart can be a lever to call those pending appointments and entice them to convert to Representatives with this new program.
Q: How does the program work?
A: The program consists of three components: a sales component, a recruiting component and a KickStart bonus component.
1. Sales Component
New Representatives appointed or placing a first order on or after September 16, 2016 will earn 40% on all product sales (brochure, direct delivery, fixed earnings items and beauty; excluding tax and shipping costs) when they achieve sales at the following thresholds:

2. Recruiting Component
In addition to this sales component, new Representatives qualify for a $50 bonus for every Qualified KickStart Recruit (QKR) referred during their first 6 campaigns with Avon. A QKR must have a first order of $150 or more that is paid on time within 30 days of the time of enrollment.
3. KickStart Performance Bonus
When new Representatives achieve all the sales goals and recruit a minimum of three (3) Qualified KickStart Recruits within their first 6 campaigns, they will receive an additional $200 performance bonus. Achieving all three components can result in new Representatives earning $1,000 or more in their first 6 campaigns.
Q: Do online orders, direct delivery, sales center and regular Representative delivery orders all count toward the per-campaign sales qualifier for this program?
A: Yes. Online orders, direct delivery orders, sales center orders and regular Representative delivery orders all count toward each campaign sales goal for this program.
Q: Are bonus dollars included in calculating the sales qualifier for this program?
A: No. Bonus dollars like Double or Triple Dollars are not included in calculating the sales goals in this program. Q: What happens if a Representative missed a sales goal – are they out of the KickStart program? A: No, not at all! Each campaign stands alone, meaning a Representative can achieve the 40% earnings in any individual campaign, even if she missed a previous campaign’s sales goal.
Q: OK, so a new Representative will not earn 40% if a sales goal is missed – but what do they earn on those sales?
A: If the sales goal is NOT achieved in any campaign, the Representative will earn based on the earnings chart below:

Q: What happens if a new Representative over-achieves and sells way beyond the KickStart goals? Does she benefit from the higher earnings on the regular Avon Representative earning chart?
A: Even better! Should a new Representative achieve an order of $925 or more in the KickStart period, the Representative will earn the higher percentage (see below) on beauty sales while still enjoying the KickStart 40% earnings on fixed earnings items:

Q. KickStart begins with a $150 minimum order, does this mean the Leadership Earnings levels will be changing as well?
A: No. The Advanced Leadership commission structure on G1, G2, and G3 is not impacted by the KickStart Program.
Q: What happens if a new Representative hasn’t submitted her brochure order yet, but gets online orders through her eStore? Are those online orders held until she submits her YourAvon order, for a cumulative order total?
A: Any early orders submitted before the Representative places her regular YourAvon.com order are collected and combined to factor into the new Representative’s expected campaign of first order (the campaign indicated on her Representative agreement). However, if the new Representative does NOT place an order on YourAvon.com in the expected campaign of first order, any online orders and/or Avon Sales Center purchases will be combined and count as a first order to determine the Representative’s eligibility for earning 40% in the KickStart program.
Q: What is a Qualified KickStart Recruit (QKR)? Is that different from a Qualified New Recruit (QNR)?
A: Yes, they are different. A QKR must have a first order of $150 or more that is paid on time within 30 days of their time of enrollment. Typically, a QNR has a paid first order of $100 or more for past incentives such as Journey to Gold, etc.
Q: Do the QKR’s orders have to be paid for on time to qualify?
A: Yes. In order for the KickStart Representative to qualify for recruiting bonuses, their recruit’s account must also be in good standing. Avon may review the new QKR’s account status in the second, third, fourth, and fifth campaigns.
Q. Do reinstatements count as new Representatives?
A: No, reinstatements do not count. For more information on what is defined as a reinstatement, refer to the Avon Independent Sales Representative Policies & Procedures which can be found on the Community tab on YourAvon.com.
Q: If the new Representative has a QKR from an ALMA lead, does the new Representative qualify for the $50 recruiting bonus?
A. Yes. KickStart captures all appointments on or after September 16th 2016 – that would include QKR generated from ALMA leads.
Q: When will the new Representatives receive the $200 KickStart performance bonus?
A: The performance bonus payout will be issued after the close of the sixth campaign if the sales levels and minimum recruiting criteria have been met within the six-campaign timeframe. If the KickStart participant has a pending new recruit(s) still within their 30day window to submit a first order, then performance bonus payout for the KickStart Representative will be pending until their new recruit becomes a QKR or reaches the end of their 30-day order submission window.
Q: Do Representative accounts need to be in good standing to receive the bonuses?
A: Yes. As per Avon policy, the Representative must be active and in good standing to receive any bonuses.
Q: Does Representative have to enroll in direct deposit in order to receive cash rewards or bonuses?
A: If the Representative chooses not to enroll in direct deposit, her $50 bonus for every Qualified KickStart Recruit (QKR) referred will be administered via a pre-paid card. Be advised it may take up to 30 days for the card to be issued. Once issued, subsequent rewards will be added at the end of each campaign.
Q: Where will I be able to find the reports to track my new Representatives’ progress in KickStart?
A: Tracking for DVMs and DSMs will be available on the SMO (DVMO and DMO). Sales Leaders can access tracking reports on the DLM. Coming soon – tracking will be available on VIBE for Sales Leaders, stay tuned for more info!

Shirl Papaian has been an Avon Representative since September 2014. She sells at the Honor Society Level (over $20,000 annually) and is a Gold Ambassador with almost 200 team members nationwide.
In 2016, Shirl was awarded on stage at the Annual PC Gala Luncheon for the highest online sales in her district, for earning President’s Club Level and other various incentives. She advanced from Ambassador to Silver Ambassador and to Gold Ambassador through her consistent efforts to grow and mentor her team of Avon Representatives. She also became a DSWA Certified ELITE Leader.
Shirl’s stats for 2016 are as follows; Shirl and her team’s sales were more than $92,000. Her Team’s sales growth was 365%. She was #1 in her District for Sales Team Growth and #4 in sales.
In 2016 Shirl earned almost $2,000 in Avon bonuses in the “Journey to Gold Incentive” and earned herself a Champion Blender by being #59 out of 400 Avon Ambassadors in the “Ignite Your Avon Torch” incentive. She also won all three awards in the “One Team, One Dream” incentive.
My Avon Story
I decided to become and Avon Representative in 2014. My daughter had signed up and my sister-in-law had as well. My sister-in-law joined for the discount on her own purchases and my daughter gave it up after a while, she found she didn’t have the time she wanted to devote to it with two toddlers.
I had always thought about becoming an Avon Rep, but it was always just a thought. I remember my mom buying Avon when I was very young and was always mesmerized at all the products and how the Avon lady always looked so beautiful and polished.
My daughter’s upline who is a mutual friend, Leslie Reid, was always sharing deals and the opportunity on Facebook. One day she posted about joining her team and becoming an Avon Rep; I just decided right then and there to do it.
For the remainder of that first year I concentrated on learning as much as I could about the business; learning most everything on my own. Then in 2015 I devoted every extra dollar and minute I had to my Avon Business. I grew my customer base slowly but surely and over time my customer base and sales consistently increased. I even started my leadership journey at the encouragement of Emily Seagren who was Leslie’s upline.
I studied and learned everything I could from Emily and through hers and Leslie’s mentorship I am where I am today. My goal in Leadership is to earn the title of “Leader” and in sales “Honor Society” again in 2017. My long term goal is to retire and Avon continue to be my major source of income.
