Starting my Avon BusinessI’ve just started my Avon business and I’m really excited. Now, how do I get customers?

Spread the word! Tell everyone you know that you sell Avon. Wear the clothes, jewelry and makeup to promote the latest Avon looks. Share the latest brochures and distribute them everywhere you go (always keep a few in your bag!). Share the link to your personal eStore so people can start shopping with you online. And if you have a smartphone, make sure you’ve downloaded the Avon Social Media Center app. The posts you share from the app link directly to your eStore, so anyone who clicks will be shopping with you!

Where do I get my Avon brochures? Do they cost anything? And if so, how much?

Yes, make it a habit to include brochures as part of your regular order! Brochures are available in packs of 10, and the cost varies depending on how many you order. You can also order mark. magalogs, Avon Living magalogs and other seasonal flyers as you’re building your order. These are typically available in packs of 5 or 10.

How do I know when my order is due?

 When you log into, you’ll see the date and time your order is due on the My Orders page. In addition, you can access this information by calling our automated FAST Talk phone system at 513-551-2866. You can also reach out to your Mentor or DSM for more order placement tips.How do I get paid?

When you place your order, you submit payment to Avon. Then, when you collect payment from your customers, the earnings leftover belong to you – the difference between what you pay Avon and what your customer pays you. For example, say your customer wants to purchase an Anew skin care product priced at $28 in the brochure. When you place your order, you pay $16.80 (provided you’ve hit your KickStart sales goal and are earning 40% – click here for more about KickStart!). That $11.20 difference is your earnings.

Great! Are there any other ways I receive payment?

Good question. Avon runs a variety of incentives, programs in which you can earn rewards for hitting certain targets (these rewards are in addition to your usual campaign earnings from your orders). You can choose to receive any cash rewards you earn from an incentive via direct deposit to your bank account (our recommendation!). The money you earn will be deposited directly into your account.

If you choose not to receive earnings by direct deposit, they will be add to a Visa pre-paid card that will be mailed to your address. Once you receive the card in the mail with your first earnings, additional earnings will be automatically added to your card as you accumulate them.

In addition to incentive rewards, if you become a member of Avon’s Sales Leadership program, your Leadership earnings will also be transmitted to you via direct deposit or pre-paid card.

What is the cost to ship my order?

When you place an order on, choose “Regular Shipment,” and we’ll combine all your orders into one shipment that will be sent to you on your scheduled ship day. Need it fast? Get your order shipped the next business day for an additional fee by choosing “Ship Separate.”

How do I know what my earnings are?
Your earnings are a percentage of your total sales based on the total price of your order. All items, including demos, samples, sales tools and brochures, count toward your order total. The only exceptions are fixed earnings products – see more about those below.

Why do I earn at different levels on some products? 

  • Your orders are made up of both variable and fixed-earnings products.
  • Variable-earnings items result in earnings to you of between 0% and 50%, depending on the size of your order.
  • Fixed-earnings items are marked with a special symbol (Special diamond for fixed symbols) in each brochure. Your earnings level on these products will always be 20%, or 25% for President’s Recognition Program members (more about that here).

Do I also receive earnings from customers who shop with me online?

Absolutely. Online customers are a great way to build your Avon business. You will earn 20% on all orders placed through your eStore that Avon delivers directly to your customers (25% if you’re a PRP member). This 20% or 25% will appear as a credit on your Avon account – check your invoice!

How can I pay for my Avon order?

When you place your order online through, you can choose to pay through Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card, Discover card or Avon QuikPay. You can also process customer credit card information on Whenever possible, process payment for orders in-person with your customers, so you don’t need to write down any sensitive personal information. Just log in to your account and enter payment while the customer is there or on the phone. As a reminder, always enter in the zip code associated with the credit card information used.

You can also use our automated phone system, FAST Talk, to provide payment information for your order.

Can my customers write a check directly to Avon?

Avon does not accept personal checks from customers. If you choose to do so, you may accept checks from your customers written directly to you. You will need to personally cash the check.

I heard that I can get credit through Avon. How do I do that?

A Campaign Credit Limit may or may not be extended based on the information you provided when you enrolled, or for other business reasons. You can view your base Campaign Credit Limit by visiting the “Additional Information for You” section on the YourAvon homepage. For more details about Avon’s Campaign Credit Limits, read this FAQ.

I received a Campaign Credit Limit! What now?

If you were granted a Campaign Credit Limit, you have been granted an amount from Avon to put toward your order each campaign. If you choose to use your Campaign Credit Limit, you must pay the balance before your next campaign’s order is processed. If you don’t place an order in the following campaign, any payment balance is still due by 11:59 p.m. local time on your order submission date. Any past-due balance may be subject to a fee for each campaign that the balance is overdue.

What does it mean if I didn’t get a Campaign Credit Limit?

If you were not granted a Campaign Credit Limit from Avon upon enrolling, you’ll need to pay for your order in full when you submit it. Any previous balance must be paid in full and posted to your account before your order can be released.

What happens if I want to upgrade my Starter Kit or order another one?

Kits are limited to one per Representative at the time of enrollment. However, there will also be plenty of key bundle opportunities for you to look out for in the coming campaigns! These are additional opportunities to get key product bundles at a Representative-only price to assist you in your selling endeavors.

Shirl Papaian has been an Avon Representative since September 2014. She sells at the Honor Society Level (over $20,000 annually) and is a Gold Ambassador with over 200 team members nationwide.

Avon - This is Boss LifeIn 2016, Shirl was awarded on stage at the Annual PC Gala Luncheon for the highest online sales in her district, for earning President’s Club Level and other various incentives. She advanced from Ambassador to Silver Ambassador and to Gold Ambassador through her consistent efforts to grow and mentor her team of Avon Representatives. She also became a DSWA Certified ELITE Leader.

Shirl’s stats for 2016 are as follows; Shirl and her team’s sales were more than $92,000. Her Team’s sales growth was 365%.  She was #1 in her District for Sales Team Growth and #4 in sales.

In 2016 Shirl earned almost $2,000 in Avon bonuses in the “Journey to Gold Incentive” and earned herself a Champion Blender by being #59 out of 400 Avon Ambassadors in the “Ignite Your Avon Torch” incentive. She also won all three awards in the “One Team, One Dream” incentive.

My Avon Story

I decided to become and Avon Representative in 2014.  My daughter had signed up and my sister-in-law had as well. My sister-in-law joined for the discount on her own purchases and my daughter gave it up after a while, she found she didn’t have the time she wanted to devote to it with two toddlers.

I had always thought about becoming an Avon Rep, but it was always just a thought. I remember my mom buying Avon when I was very young and was always mesmerized at all the products and how the Avon lady always looked so beautiful and polished.

My daughter’s upline who is a mutual friend, Leslie Reid, was always sharing deals and the opportunity on Facebook. One day she posted about joining her team and becoming an Avon Rep; I just decided right then and there to do it.

For the remainder of that first year I concentrated on learning as much as I could about the business; learning most everything on my own. Then in 2015 I devoted every extra dollar and minute I had to my Avon Business. I grew my customer base slowly but surely and over time my customer base and sales consistently increased. I even started my leadership journey at the encouragement of Emily Seagren who was Leslie’s upline.

I studied and learned everything I could from Emily and through hers and Leslie’s mentorship I am where I am today. My goal in Leadership is to earn the title of “Leader” and in sales “Honor Society” again in 2017. My long term goal is to retire and Avon continue to be my major source of income.
